The Art Students Guild of Brevard has been a unique gem in the heart of Historic Downtown Melbourne, Florida, for over 60 years.

Now, we have moved out of the 909 E New Haven Avenue loft.

Beginning Wednesday, November 26th, sessions will be held at Jon Houghton's studio at 318 Laurie Street in Melbourne. There will be a small Guild sign posted in the front window.

Join us for our live model sessions!

We welcome visitors during our regularly scheduled open studio sessions. Your first visit to draw with us is free.

The Guild, founded in 1961 by Eliot McMurrough, moved in 1962 to a spacious loft on the third floor of 909 E. New Haven Avenue. The space was called home by our member artists until just recently (November 2025).

The Art Students Guild of Brevard, Inc. is dedicated to keeping portraiture, figure drawing, and plein air artistry alive. Open studio sessions with live models, plein air meetups, and special instructor-led workshops are mainstays of our tradition.

Our Mission
